ABOUT DJ KILTBOY
DJ Kiltboy first became interested in spinning tunes in the early 1990s. He was highly influenced by the vast amounts of music he worked with during his tenure at Tower Records in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. DJ Sonny, a coworker and friend, helped train him in the technical and artistic methods of being a disc jockey. Most of DJ Kiltboy’s first gigs were private parties for friends, as well as working events with DJ Sonny.
His musical influences include early industrial, such as Einsturzende Neubaten and Kraftwerk, electronica, and new wave. Throwing high-energy parties and creating a welcoming space are Kiltboy’s main goals.
Currently, DJ Kiltboy is helping to develop the Central Pennsylvania gothic industrial scene. He hosts Shadowland Lancaster twice monthly at Bube’s Brewery in Mount Joy, with his partner Dave Ghoul. In addition to the goth-industrial club scene, DJ Kiltboy also spins at the Square Bar, a local pub in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He proudly performs at the annual Funky Formal for the cast and crew of the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire (PARF). He continues to spin for private parties, weddings and other events.
Aside from deejaying, Kiltboy appreciates the fine art of paintball, gardening, videogames, traveling, and going to renaissance festivals.
